On this page we will be keeping you up to date on the events and progress we are making in our bid to raise over £15000 to replace out Heating System.

We have only been going for a couple of weeks and we have already broken the £1000 barrier!

January 2010: Andy Collier, with the help of some friends from Huyton Round Table, organised a Burn's Night celebration in the Childe of Hale. After the effects of the whisky tasting had worn off Andy found himself with a profit of £262.30! This was given to our heating fund.

February 2010: We have had some very generous personal donations in the last week totalling £900, making our running total £1102.30.

March 2010: A few more donations have pushed our total to £1192.30. Later this month we are holding our Fun Quiz night with all proceeds going to the Heating Fund.

March 2010: The proceeds of the Quiz Night, £250, and some more donations puts us up to just under the £2000 mark - £1976.30 to be precise. The Freemen of Hale have also very generously donated £500 towards the costs of the repairs to the heating system. This does not appear in the Heating Fund, but is still very welcome as the repairs have stretched our usual funding to the limit.

July 2010: After a number of money raising events, including a 'Nearly New' clothes sale and a 'Pamper Day', we have now reached £3420.30. Thanks to everyone who helped organise these events and gave up their time to help.
